Discover why Data Protection needn't be scary!

29 March 2012

One of those subjects that we all know we really ought to be more aware of is data protection. However, it doesn't have the most exciting image(!) and it’s often perceived negatively, as little more than a piece of legislation to abide by, or a block on talking to donors. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Data Protection simply means managing your relationships with your donors, and respecting their wishes – done well it can even help you grow those relationships.

As well as general courses, we also run sessions tailored to individual organisation needs. For example, if you’re a fundraiser in a hospice wanting to contact supporters, you may have the challenge of convincing your services staff to let you access friends and family of service users. We understand that challenge, and can help you meet it for the benefit of the whole organisation – and of course of the supporter.
